Ring in the holidays in The Hague!

Spending your Christmas and New Year's holidays in The Hague is guaranteed to be a blast.

Shopping
For your Christmas shopping the stores in the city centre will stay open extra late until 21.00 hrs. on Friday, 2 December, Wednesday, 21 December and Friday, 23 December.

Shoppers can already get in the Christmas spirit with the Winter Shopping Days during the weekend of 10 and 11 December. Various mobile gift-wrapping teams will stand ready to wrap your purchases free of charge and shops and restaurants will offer special discounts and entertainment.

Music and theatre
You can choose from a large number of Christmas concerts in various churches as well as from all kinds of family entertainment, including a Russian choral concert by the Wolga Kozakken. The city’s theatres have a number of special performances planned especially for children including the Oriental fairytale ballet ‘Abdallah and the Gazelle van Basra’.

And international audiences can order their tickets now for two special performances: ‘A Christmas Carol’ at Theatre Branoul, Chapel of Barth and the Historical Museum of The Hague and Ashley Ramsden’s ‘Rumi, Voice of the Heart’ at the Hof van Wouw as well as perennial favourites like 'The Nutcracker' by the St. Petersburg Ballet in the Lucent Danstheater.

Holiday spirit
The famous Hof van Wouw will be enveloped in Christmas on 10 December when you can buy homemade products and enjoy Christmas tales and music.

De Ooievaart will once again bring their cosy winter evening Christmas cruises through The Hague’s canals. You’ll also be able to enjoy outdoor ice skating with Cool Event in Scheveningen. And you’ll again be able to take the whole gang to see the annual Christmas Circus at Malieveld with its world-famous clowns and acrobats.
